Today, smart light switching works via radio and without cables. With these smart radio switches, existing light switches can be built over without having to intervene in the electrical installation. This saves the installer and you can operate your smart lamps in the usual place, without any cables or batteries.
1. Existing switch For the overbuilding of an existing wired switch, remove the frame and the switch rockers. Only the switch insert is left in the flush-mounted box. The switch insert is switched to ON so that the lamp is supplied with power.
2. Put on the cover frame The cover frame is screwed onto the flush-mounted box and covers the switching insert of the previous switch.
3. Snap on the radio switch The radio switch is placed on the cover frame.

This switch with a cover frame can be installed over all existing wired switches without having to interfere with the electrical installation. Only the plastic frame and the rocker elements of the existing switch are removed and only the switch insert is left in the flush-mounted box. This can then simply be covered with the cover frame and the radio switch. In this way, a Friends of Hue lamp can be switched and additionally controlled at the same switching location as before, without the need for an electrician for the installation.
